Top Free Agent Target for the Boston Celtics from Each Pacific Division Team
The 31-year-old guard Spencer Dinwiddie is emerging from a disappointing stint with the Los Angeles Lakers. He averaged 6.8 points and 2.4 assists per game, shooting 40% overall and 39% from three-point range in roughly 24 minutes per night.
These numbers plummeted even further in the postseason, where Dinwiddie managed just three points per game on 36% shooting overall and 25% from distance against the Nuggets.
Dinwiddie is among many role players who have struggled with their shooting after joining the Lakers. Despite this, teams are eyeing him in free agency due to his strong defensive capabilities.
The 2022-23 season showcased Dinwiddie’s potential at his best. During that season with the Mavericks, he averaged 17.7 points, 5.3 assists, and 3.1 rebounds on 45% shooting, including 41% from beyond the arc, all while coming off the bench.
The Boston Celtics could benefit from more offensive firepower in their second unit, making Dinwiddie a worthy addition.
