‘I just want to win now’: Barnes and Quickley vow to lead Raptors back to the top of the NBA after signing long-term deals
Scottie Barnes has signed a rookie max extension that could be worth up to $270 million over five years, while Immanuel Quickley has agreed to a five-year, $175 million deal.
On Monday, Scottie Barnes addressed the media after officially signing his contract extension with the Raptors.
Barnes, who ended last season on the sidelines due to a hand injury, could only watch as the Raptors stumbled to an abysmal 25-57 record, far from the playoff picture. Now, with a lucrative long-term deal to extend his stay in Toronto, the 22-year-old is determined to help bring the franchise back to respectability.
“I just want to win now,” Barnes stated emphatically. With his new contract in hand, he is more motivated than ever to lead the Raptors to success.
