SAD NEWS: Arizona Cardinals Confirmed Major Setback with the Departure of  2 Key Players…

The Arizona Cardinals have taken significant steps to reshape their team, including a major off-field overhaul before the 2022 season. This included hiring General Manager Monti Ossenfort and head coach Jonathan Gannon, leading to numerous roster changes over the past 18 months.

One veteran player, running back James Conner, believes these moves are steering the team in the right direction. In a recent appearance on The Rich Eisen Show, Conner discussed how the Cardinals previously had too many players who weren’t prioritizing the team. He praised the new regime for addressing this issue.

“We cleansed the roster,” Conner stated. “Guys who weren’t serious about football, who weren’t in it for the right reasons, who didn’t put the team first — we slowly weeded that stuff out. That’s what it takes. First we cleanse, and now we’re ready to attack.”

Conner is in the final year of his current contract and has expressed a desire to remain in Arizona. The upcoming months will reveal whether the Cardinals see him as a continuing part of their plans for the future.
