Arizona Announces Big 12 Media Day Representatives

The University of Arizona football program has revealed its representatives for the Big 12 Media Days at Allegiant Stadium on July 10. Head Coach Brent Brennan will be joined by quarterback Noah Fifita, wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan, linebacker Jacob Manu, and safety Gunner Maldonado.

Entering the Big 12

The Wildcats are gearing up for their first season in the Big 12 Conference, returning with key players from a team that won seven straight games to close the previous season, finishing No. 11 in the final AP Poll. Head Coach Brent Brennan will make his debut at Big 12 Media Day, accompanied by four standout players from the 2023 season.

Key Players to Watch

Noah Fifita:
Fifita set a new program single-season record with a 72.4% completion rate in 2023 and led the Wildcats on a seven-game winning streak. Named Pac-12 Freshman of The Year, Fifita threw for 2,869 yards, 25 touchdowns, and only six interceptions in nine starts last season.

Tetairoa McMillan:
McMillan recorded the second-most receiving yards (1,402) and receptions (90) in program history in 2023, tying for the eighth-most touchdown receptions. He holds the program’s freshman record for single-season receiving yards (702) from 2022. McMillan enters 2024 with 2,104 career-receiving yards and 18 touchdown receptions, both ranking eighth in Arizona football history.

Jacob Manu:
Manu led the Pac-12 with 116 tackles, earning AP First-Team All-Pac-12 honors in 2023. Twice named Lott IMPACT Trophy Player of the Week, he was also on the Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Watch List. Manu recorded 9.5 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks last season.

Gunner Maldonado:
A team captain and Defensive MVP in the 2023 Valero Alamo Bowl, Maldonado returned a fumble 87 yards for a touchdown against Oklahoma. He posted a career-high 81 tackles and played a pivotal role in a secondary that forced 19 turnovers last season.

Big 12 Media Days

The Wildcats will participate in Day 2 of the Big 12 Media Days on July 10, alongside representatives from Colorado, Kansas, West Virginia, BYU, UCF, Baylor, and Houston. The event will be held at Allegiant Stadium, home of the Las Vegas Raiders, from July 9-10.
