SAD NEWS: Braves’ Brian Snitker Provides Troubling Injury Update on the 23-year-old Experienced Fielder..

The Atlanta Braves have struggled with injuries this season, but they recently received some positive updates on key players, including Michael Harris II. A.J. Minter has returned from the IL, Ian Anderson is making progress in the minors, and Tyler Matzek has shown improvement. However, none of these updates are as crucial as the status of Michael Harris.

Harris, the 2022 Rookie of the Year, began doing baseball activities a few days ago after suffering a hamstring strain several weeks ago. Before the Braves’ game against the Giants on Tuesday, Harris was seen throwing on the field.

Grant McAuley reported that while there is no specific timetable for Harris’s return, he could start running soon. Harris has been out since June 15th, and the Braves’ offense sorely misses his presence in the lineup. Hamstring injuries are notoriously tricky, so the team is likely to be cautious with his recovery. Typically, such injuries require a 6-8 week recovery period, meaning Harris may still be a few weeks away from returning to center field at Truist Park.
