Breaking: Leafs GM Finally Addresses Robertson Contract Demands, as the 27-Year-Old Star Extends
While Maple Leafs general manager Brad Treliving used the first day of free agency to address the team’s defense and goaltending, he also had to deal with some pressing issues among his forwards.
Reports indicate that young winger Nick Robertson has expressed a desire to be traded, unhappy with his role in Toronto despite the team issuing a qualifying offer to retain his rights. Last season, Robertson scored 14 goals in 56 games, mostly during limited 5-on-5 play.
