Duke commit Roman Fina has officially declared his recruiting process over, solidifying his decision to join the Blue Devils. As one of the top 20 players in the state of Arizona, Fina has drawn interest from numerous schools, but he has found his home at Duke.
The three-star offensive tackle chose Duke on June 17th, opting for the Blue Devils over other options ranging from Ivy League schools to Power Four programs. After finalizing his commitment, Fina spoke with TheDevilsDen.com to explain why Duke was his top choice.
Standing at 6-foot-5 and weighing 250 pounds, Fina visited Durham on May 31st and was primarily recruited by assistant coach and offensive line coach Jeff Norrid. According to the 247Sports.com Composite rankings, Fina is rated as a top 20 player in Arizona’s class of 2024.
With this commitment, Duke bolsters their roster with a promising offensive talent, marking a significant achievement for head coach Jon Scheyer and his recruiting team.
