Oliver Ekman-Larsson Joins the Maple Leafs
The Maple Leafs have signed Oliver Ekman-Larsson to a four-year deal worth $3.5 million per season, including a 16-team no-trade list, as reported by NHL insider Darren Dreger. Ekman-Larsson, drafted sixth overall by the Phoenix Coyotes in 2006, spent 11 years with the team before being traded to the Vancouver Canucks. After two years in Vancouver, he was bought out and subsequently signed with the Florida Panthers.
With this signing, Toronto’s cap space is now just over $1.2 million.

Toronto Adds Chris Tanev to Defense
In addition to Ekman-Larsson, the Maple Leafs have signed Chris Tanev to a six-year deal worth $4.5 million per season. Toronto acquired Tanev’s rights on June 29 and quickly secured the contract, bringing the defenseman to his hometown team.

Timothy Liljegren Re-Signs
