Florida State University (FSU) suffered a setback in their offensive line recruiting efforts on Wednesday, but they still have promising prospects to track.

As June came to a close, several recruits with ties to Florida State made their decisions. Earlier this week, the Seminoles secured commitments from four-star defensive tackle Kevin Wynn and four-star wide receiver CJ Wiley. However, they can’t win every recruiting battle.

On Wednesday evening, four-star offensive lineman Max Buchanan announced his commitment following the Rivals Five-Star Challenge. After evaluating his options throughout the month, Buchanan chose the Miami Hurricanes over Florida State, Penn State, Clemson, UCF, and Ole Miss.

A Florida native, Buchanan was one of the prospects FSU was heavily pursuing to bolster their offensive line. At one point, the Seminoles were even considered the frontrunner to land
