The Duke basketball program continues to strengthen its recruiting efforts for the Class of 2025. Although they have yet to secure a commitment, head coach Jon Scheyer and his staff have extended an offer to rising prospect Shelton Henderson, a 4-star forward from Texas.
Henderson, who announced his latest offer on social media, is the 10th player to receive an offer from Duke for the 2025 class. Standing at 6-foot-6, Henderson is ranked as the No. 41 player in the 247Sports Composite rankings and has already garnered offers from Houston, Louisville, LSU, Texas, and Texas Tech.

Recently, Henderson showcased his talent as a member of the USA Men’s U18 National Team, which won the gold medal at the FIBA U18 AmeriCup. During the tournament, he averaged 8.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.3 steals per game. Scheyer, who served as an on-court coach during the team’s training camp, had the opportunity to observe Henderson’s performance firsthand and was impressed by his athleticism and ability to exploit defensive weaknesses.
Henderson joins a prestigious group of prospects who have received offers from Duke, including 5-stars Meleek Thomas, Jalen Haralson, AJ Dybantsa, Cameron Boozer, Koa Peat, Caleb Wilson, Cayden Boozer, Brayden Burries, and Nate Ament. He is the first 4-star prospect to be offered by the Blue Devils in this recruiting cycle.
