SAD NEWS: Canes’ Top Target Chooses Oregon Over Miami and Florida State
Four-star offensive tackle Ziyare Addison, a standout recruit from Riverview, Florida, has committed to the Oregon Ducks, passing on offers from Florida State, Miami, and Florida.
Despite being heavily pursued by the three in-state teams, Addison decided to head to the Northwest. The 6-foot-5, 290-pound senior announced his commitment to Oregon on Monday morning.
Addison’s decision is a significant addition for Oregon, which also competed against Penn State, Georgia, and UCLA for his commitment.
What does this mean for Oregon? The Ducks are gaining a highly athletic offensive lineman ranked as the No. 14 offensive tackle in the 2025 class by 247Sports. Addison’s athleticism is notable—he also participates in wrestling and track, indicating his versatility on the field.

Securing Addison’s commitment is a major recruiting win for Oregon and head coach Dan Lanning, showcasing their ability to attract top talent from across the country.
