The Pittsburgh Steelers are looking to build on their 2023 season, where they finished 10-7 and made the playoffs for the first time since Ben Roethlisberger’s retirement in 2021.
The team has bolstered their roster with key additions, including future Hall-of-Fame quarterback Russell Wilson, backup QB Justin Fields, and emerging star linebacker Patrick Queen.
On Monday, the Steelers announced via Twitter that they have signed wide receiver Jaray Jenkins to add depth to their roster.
Jenkins, who went undrafted last year, briefly joined the Jacksonville Jaguars during the preseason but was released before the start of the regular season. He played four seasons at LSU, recording 89 catches for 1,370 yards and 14 touchdowns, including a senior year with QB Jayden Daniels.
George Pickens remains the main wide receiver for Pittsburgh, having led the NFL with 18.1 yards per reception last season, totaling 1,140 yards. Despite trading WR2 Diontae Johnson to the Carolina Panthers, the Steelers have added Van Jefferson, who recorded 89 catches for 802 yards and six touchdowns, contributing to the Los Angeles Rams’ Super Bowl win in 2021.

The Steelers compete in one of the toughest divisions in the NFL, which includes the Baltimore Ravens, who had the best record in 2023, the talented Cleveland Browns, and the 2021 AFC champion Cincinnati Bengals. Nevertheless, with their strengthened roster, the Steelers are poised to make another playoff run and potentially secure a victory.
