Duke Devils’ head coach Jon Scheyer has provided several critical injury updates on key players as of 29 ,May 2024:
Kyle Filipowski: Filipowski recently underwent hip surgery but is on a positive recovery trajectory. Scheyer mentioned that he is currently engaging in one-on-one and two-on-two contact drills and aims for him to be ready for full five-on-five play by the end of the month. The team is not rushing his return, with the goal of having him fully healthy for the season start (On3) (DevilsIllustrated).
Caleb Foster: Foster’s status is uncertain after he injured his foot, leading to an MRI. The results are still pending, but there is concern given the impact of his absence. Foster had been playing well before the injury, contributing significantly on both ends of the court (DevilsIllustrated) (Yahoo Sports).
Tyrese Proctor: Proctor, another key player, is working hard to return from an ankle injury sustained earlier in the season. While he’s making progress, there is no definitive timeline for his return yet. His leadership and performance are crucial, making his recovery a top priority for the team (Yahoo Sports).
These updates are essential as Duke prepares for the upcoming season, aiming to have all key players healthy and ready to contribute.
