Shocking Updates: Sudden Disaster Leads Georgia’s Football Head Coach Kirby Smart To Giving Up Athens Home for $4.2 million…

University of Georgia head football coach Kirby Smart has listed his Athens, GA, home for sale at $4.2 million. The stunning property, which is the most expensive home currently on the market in the college town, features seven bedrooms, 7.5 bathrooms, and over 7,100 square feet of living space on a spacious 2.2-acre lot.

Combining elegance and history, the residence includes an original 1920s stone cottage seamlessly integrated with a newer home. The main room boasts a coffered ceiling and flows into a massive kitchen equipped with professional-grade appliances, a large island, a wine fridge, and a walk-in pantry complete with a coffee station.

The first-floor primary bedroom features a shiplap ceiling and a luxurious bathroom with a multihead shower, marble counters, and a soaking tub. The boutique-style walk-in closet includes a storage island and mirrored shoe shelves.

Upstairs, two additional bedrooms share a marble bathroom, and a small library with built-ins provides a cozy retreat. The lower level is designed for entertainment, offering ample space for pool and pingpong tables.

The property also includes a two-car garage with a carriage house above it. The stone cottage features a spacious main room, a fireplace, a guest suite, and a powder room. Outdoor amenities include a covered stone patio, a screened porch, and a barbecue station.

Kirby Smart, a former Georgia player, has been head coach of the Bulldogs since 2015 after holding several other coaching positions. Under his leadership, the team has won two College Football Playoff National Championships, six SEC Eastern Division titles, and two Southeastern Conference championships. Just last month, ESPN named Smart the top head coach in college football.
