Florida State Eyeing 4-Star DL Over Florida, USC, and Miami!
Myron Charles is a key target for Florida State’s 2025 recruiting class, both figuratively and literally, standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing 295 pounds as a rising high school senior.
Charles, a highly sought-after defensive line recruit from Port Charlotte, Florida, represents the kind of in-state talent head coach Mike Norvell needs to secure to keep the Seminoles in championship contention.
The outlook is promising for Florida State as they enter a series of scheduled official visits. Recruiting experts feel confident about the Seminoles’ position in the race for Charles.
“I like Florida State’s position for Myron Charles right now. Talked to him this week, I think they continue to set the pace in this recruitment,” said On3’s Steve Wiltfong. “Another program to watch is Texas, but the Seminoles, their play style, and the way they develop defensive linemen stand out to him. Being around great players and the energy of this coaching staff are big factors for him. I feel like Florida State is in pole position as he goes into his official visits.”
Charles has lined up official visits to Florida on May 31, USC on June 7, Miami on June 14, and FSU on June 21. Despite these visits, Charles appears to favor Florida State.
“They’re gonna develop you to the max and let athletes be athletes. They have a great staff that won’t let you fail. The only one stopping you is yourself. Truly where stars come to shine,” Charles previously stated.
Florida State is poised to secure a significant commitment in Myron Charles, which would bolster their defense and maintain their competitive edge.
