Florida State University has officially secured the commitment of a standout athlete from the 2025 class. Tavion Wallace, a coveted linebacker prospect from Jesup (Ga.) Wayne County, has announced his decision date, marking a significant moment for both him and the Seminoles.
Wallace, a four-star recruit, revealed that he will announce his commitment on July 15, narrowing down his choices to five schools: Florida State, Florida, Georgia, LSU, and Arkansas. The Seminoles are currently leading the pack in Wallace’s considerations.
Expressing his reasons for favoring Florida State, Wallace cited the consistent support and genuine care he receives from the coaching staff. “Really because the consistency with the coaches and it’s love every time I go there,” Wallace explained.
His relationship with key figures within the Florida State coaching staff, including head coach Mike Norvell, linebackers coach Randy Shannon, and special teams assistant Carter Barfield, has played a pivotal role in his decision-making process. Wallace revealed that he engages in regular conversations with them, often extending beyond football to encompass broader aspects of life. “Yeah really like every day or every other day for real. They go pretty good. It’s not always about football, sometimes it’s just about life and just checking up on me,” he shared.
As Wallace prepares to embark on official visits to Arkansas, Georgia, Florida, and Florida State, his commitment date looms as a significant milestone in his journey toward collegiate football. With the Seminoles currently holding a prominent position in his considerations, all eyes will be on July 15 to see where Wallace ultimately chooses to continue his athletic and academic pursuits.
