Breaking: Projecting Duke’s 2024-25 starting lineup and rotation as of now…

As of now, the Duke Blue Devils’ lineup for the upcoming season appears to be taking shape, although there are still some uncertainties lingering.

Just weeks after concluding the 2024 season, head coach Jon Scheyer’s squad looks markedly different from the team that exited the court in the Elite Eight.

During the offseason, Duke bid farewell to 10 players from last year’s rotation. This includes graduate center Ryan Young, who completed his eligibility, as well as Kyle Filipowski and Jared McCain, who declared for the NBA Draft. Additionally, a significant seven players opted to depart via the NCAA Transfer Portal.

While the departures of Young and Filipowski were anticipated even before the start of the previous season, McCain’s transition to one-and-done status became apparent as Duke navigated through the heart of the ACC regular season schedule.

Furthermore, although unexpected, the losses of both Jeremy Roach and Mark Mitchell were considerations the program had contemplated since the previous summer.

As Duke continues to shape its roster, questions remain regarding the final composition of the starting lineup and rotation.
