Houston Texans GM Nick Caserio Responds to Stefon Diggs Trade and Character Concerns!
Amidst speculation surrounding Stefon Diggs’ departure from the Buffalo Bills and his recent trade to the Houston Texans, General Manager Nick Caserio has stepped forward to address any concerns regarding the wide receiver’s character.
As Diggs’ performance seemed to wane towards the end of his tenure with the Bills, rumors swirled about his desire to seek a new team. However, Caserio swiftly dismissed any worries about Diggs’ character impacting his role with the Texans.
Despite murmurs within NFL circles suggesting Diggs may have fallen out of favor with the Bills, Caserio remains unfazed by past narratives. He emphasized that judgments should be reserved until Diggs has had the chance to integrate into the Texans’ environment.
Caserio stressed that each NFL team operates within its unique culture, making it unfair to preconceive notions about a player’s conduct based solely on their history elsewhere.
In emphasizing the importance of giving Diggs a clean slate, Caserio underlined the Texans’ focus on his on-field performance in the upcoming season. With Diggs boasting impressive stats from the previous season, including 107 receptions for 1,183 yards and eight touchdowns, the Texans are optimistic about his potential impact on their offense.
Looking ahead, the Texans are banking on Diggs’ partnership with quarterback C.J. Stroud to propel the team towards success, with aspirations for a Super Bowl run in 2024.
