The Ravens confirmed another huge boost after NFL’s investigation found ‘insufficient evidence’ to punish Ravens’ 23-year-old WR Zay Flowers…
The Baltimore Ravens received reassuring news as the NFL declared its decision not to discipline wide receiver Zay Flowers after a domestic violence investigation earlier this year. In a statement released on Thursday, the league cited insufficient evidence to support any violation of the NFL’s personal conduct policy by Flowers.
“After conducting a thorough review, the NFL has determined that there is not enough evidence to establish that Zay Flowers engaged in conduct that contravened the league’s personal conduct policy,” the statement affirmed. “Consequently, no disciplinary action will be taken, and Flowers remains eligible to participate in all team activities.”
This resolution arrives two months subsequent to the suspension of a domestic violence investigation by the Baltimore County Police involving Flowers. Despite the absence of charges against him, an alleged incident reportedly took place on January 16 in Owings Mills, Maryland. According to police reports, a woman claimed involvement in a “violent” domestic altercation with an NFL player, further alleging that the player’s brother brandished a firearm during the incident.
Flowers, aged 23, had an impressive rookie season with the Ravens, setting franchise records with 77 receptions and 858 receiving yards. Selected as the No. 22 pick in the NFL draft last year, his performance garnered attention and anticipation for his continued contributions to the team.
