Simon Jordan, renowned football pundit, has weighed in on the race, tipping Leicester City to overcome their recent wobbles and secure a return to the Premier League.
Despite suffering a setback with a 1-0 defeat against Millwall on Tuesday, Enzo Maresca’s Leicester City still holds the top spot. Their recent form, with just three wins in their last nine Championship fixtures, has raised concerns, but they maintain their position atop the table as neither Ipswich Town nor Leeds capitalized on their recent slip-ups.
Jordan acknowledges Ipswich Town’s surprising surge in the title race, considering they were two divisions below Leeds and Leicester City last season. However, he believes their relative lack of experience might hinder their chances of clinching promotion.
During the White & Jordan show on talkSPORT, Jordan shared his insights, stating, “They’re all stuttering and spluttering. Ipswich have regained their composure. I was surprised at Leicester… I was surprised they lost to Millwall.”
