Cincinnati Bengals add another major offensive weapon in latest 2024 NFL Mock Draft; this is a huge boost for Joe Burrow…

Can the Cincinnati Bengals reclaim their former glory in 2024?

After a challenging 2023 season marred by injuries, the Cincinnati Bengals are eager to bounce back and make a strong push, aiming for a return to the AFC Championship Game or even beyond.

In the most recent 2024 NFL mock draft by NFL Network’s Bucky Brooks, the Bengals are poised to add another potent weapon to their offensive arsenal for their star quarterback, Joe Burrow. Brooks predicts that the Bengals will select LSU receiver Brian Thomas Jr. with the 18th overall pick in the upcoming draft.

“Thomas possesses the athleticism and size, standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing 209 pounds, along with exceptional ball skills. He’s expected to complement Ja’Marr Chase seamlessly and potentially provide additional support alongside Tee Higgins, provided the team resolves any contractual stalemate with Higgins,” Brooks explains.

The Bengals’ 2023 Season Plagued by Injuries

Heading into the 2023 season, the Cincinnati Bengals were considered strong contenders for Super Bowl 58. However, their aspirations were dashed when star quarterback Joe Burrow suffered a critical injury in Week 11. Burrow tore a ligament in his throwing hand during a game against the Baltimore Ravens, forcing Jake Browning to step in as the starting quarterback for the remainder of the season.

Despite the setback, the Bengals managed to salvage their season, finishing with a respectable 9-8 record under the guidance of head coach Zac Taylor. Browning’s unexpectedly solid performance in Burrow’s absence kept the team competitive, although they narrowly missed out on a playoff berth.
