“It’s been going great,”: Tank Dell
Houston Texans’ Tank Dell, a key wide receiver for the team, faced setbacks due to injury last season, missing out on their first playoff appearance alongside quarterback CJ Stroud. As the Texans eye a potential Super Bowl opportunity, Dell’s return could be pivotal in initiating a successful campaign for the Lombardi trophy.
Recent updates on Dell’s condition for the upcoming 2024 season bring optimism to fans. According to a report by NFL.com’s Eric Edholm, Dell is prepared to make his comeback after recovering from a fractured fibula. Speaking to the team’s website, Dell expressed satisfaction with his progress, stating, “It’s been going great. I’ve been hitting the road full speed. Great recovery.”
Dell aims to rejoin the Texans during the offseason program commencing on April 15, at the team’s facility, where he has been diligently rehabilitating. He credits the team’s training and strength staff for instilling confidence in his physical condition, remarking, “I’m giving all the props to our training staff and our strength staff. They’ve been getting me on the right road and I feel like I’m back and ready.”
As anticipation builds for Dell’s return, questions arise regarding his impact on the Texans’ performance. Despite a limited rookie season, Dell showcased promising chemistry with Stroud and the team’s strategies under DeMeco Ryan. With 47 receptions, 709 yards, and seven touchdowns in just 11 games, Dell’s potential was evident before his injury. Now, fully recovered, his presence on the field promises to bolster the Texans’ offensive prowess, especially in connection with Stroud’s passes.
With Dell poised to contribute significantly, the Texans’ prospects for the upcoming season look promising as they aim to capitalize on his return and make strides towards their championship aspirations.
