Kevin Huerter, the starting shooting guard for the Sacramento Kings, suffered a left shoulder dislocation during Tuesday’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies.
Consequently, he will be unable to play in the upcoming match against the Toronto Raptors, as indicated by the Kings’ injury report. The injury occurred early in the game when Huerter was fouled by Desmond Bane, causing him to leave the court with assistance and ruling him out for the remainder of the game.

Although there’s no specific timeline for his return, recovery from such injuries typically takes weeks to months, as seen in previous cases like Stephen Curry’s three-week absence due to a similar shoulder issue. While Huerter’s absence will be felt by the team, second-year guard Keon Ellis stepped up during the last game, showcasing an impressive performance with five blocks against the Grizzlies.
Ellis is expected to continue starting in Huerter’s absence, as confirmed by head coach Mike Brown. The Kings will face the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday, starting a three-game road trip, and fans can catch the coverage on Sactown Sports 1140.
