Marti Cifuentes suggests there is no secret to QPR’s clean bill of health as the relegation battle reaches climax…

As the relegation struggle approaches its peak, Marti Cifuentes implies there is no secret behind QPR’s perfect record.

Ahead of a crucial few weeks for the West Londoners, QPR head coach Marti Cifuentes feels that his players should take credit for the team’s absence of injuries.

With nine games remaining, Rangers are only one point above the Championship relegation zone. Rayan Kolli’s hamstring ailment and Taylor Richards’ calf strain are Cifuentes’ only health concerns.

Before Saturday’s trip to Sunderland, the Spaniard was keen to commend his players and alluded to the possibility that his training methods were helping the team as well.

Cifuentes jokingly said, “It might be that I am a lucky manager.”

“We must give the guys our due. Since my arrival, they have acted in a professional manner. We have made it quite evident to each member of the squad that their contributions are essential to our success as a team.

Being a professional football player is not an easy job; despite popular belief, it takes a lot of dedication. They must act professionally, take care of their bodies, and take care of themselves. Theirs is the most of the credit.

Of course, there is also the crew who works nonstop behind them to try and assist them and determine how they might improve. They may be performing better because of some type of training periodization, but they should take the majority of the credit, in my opinion.

Coming to the end of the season with as many healthy players as possible, as well as as many players ready to play and compete, will be important for every team, including ours.

“We try our best to support the players’ recovery when they have a hectic schedule like we had last week. We attempt to divide the minutes [among the players.. Although I wouldn’t say we have a strategy, we do try to talk with the staff about potential game circumstances and the best ways to rotate and utilize players.

We are aware that while some players are better suited to play three straight games, it is best to give them a break in between. We attempt to evaluate everything and follow many other clubs’ lead in terms of replenishing, so they may recuperate fully and get ready for the following match.
