A Tee Higgins Trade That the Bengals Would Realistically Consider…

The Bengals have placed the franchise tag on Tee Higgins, indicating their willingness to pay him $21.8 million for the 2024 season. Despite Joe Burrow’s desire to keep Higgins on the team, a long-term deal seems improbable, sparking speculation about a potential trade.

While Higgins is not considered untouchable, the Bengals view him as a game-changing player and would only consider a trade if they could replace him with another player of similar caliber. A trade-up scenario in the 2024 NFL Draft, where the Bengals package Higgins with their No. 18 pick for a top-nine pick, is seen as a viable option.

Potential targets for such a trade include the Patriots (No. 3), Cardinals (No. 4), Giants (No. 6), Titans (No. 7), and Bears (No. 9). If the Bengals could secure a top player like Marvin Harrison Jr., Rome Odunze, or Malik Nabers in exchange for Higgins and their pick, it would be a favorable move.

While a Higgins trade is unlikely, the Bengals would consider it if it meant landing a top player in the draft.
