The Vikings are being considered as a potential trade destination for Zach Wilson, but it’s hoped that this isn’t too appealing to them. Amidst the ongoing speculation in the NFL, there’s talk of Wilson seeking a trade from the New York Jets, with the Vikings being seen as an attractive option.
The reasoning behind this is that Kirk Cousins is a free agent, and the Vikings lack young quarterbacks on their roster. Additionally, their coach, Kevin O’Connell, has a track record of helping quarterbacks succeed.
However, it’s noted that the Vikings do have a young quarterback, Jaren Hall, although he may not be seen as a significant option. As for Wilson, he was drafted second overall in 2021 but hasn’t performed well, with a completion rate of around 57% and more interceptions than touchdowns.
It’s suggested that the asking price for Wilson wouldn’t be high, but even so, it’s argued that he’s not worth the investment given his performance so far. The hope is that the Vikings’ management isn’t as interested in Wilson as some might think.
