West Ham and Newcastle United are both interested in signing Ipswich Town’s Leif Davis, a player who has been in excellent form this season.
West Ham, in particular, are considering a move for the 24-year-old left-back, who has been a key player for Ipswich Town, contributing 12 assists in the Championship so far. If West Ham were to make a move for Davis, they would likely have to pay a significant fee, possibly around £15 million.
Ipswich Town, who signed Davis for a reported £1 million last season, would stand to make a substantial profit if they decided to sell him. However, if Ipswich Town were to win promotion to the Premier League, they would have a stronger bargaining position.
Davis has shown great potential since his time at Leeds United, and his performances in League One and the Championship have attracted the attention of Premier League clubs. If Ipswich Town fail to win promotion this season, it is likely that Davis will move to the Premier League, with West Ham being a possible destination.
However, regular first-team football may not be guaranteed at West Ham, as Emerson Palmieri is currently playing well in the left-back position.
