Ohio State’s recruiting triumphs continue as five-star cornerback Na’eem Offord pledged his commitment to the Buckeyes on Sunday. Hailing from Birmingham, Alabama, the 6-foot-2, 185-pound Offord is the sixth-ranked prospect in the 2025 class and holds the top spot among cornerbacks.
Despite receiving offers from powerhouse programs such as Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida State, and Tennessee, Offord ultimately chose Ohio State.
The commitment unfolded during Offord’s weekend visit to Ohio State with his family. His decision marks the seventh ESPN Junior 300 commitment for the Buckeyes in the 2025 cycle and solidifies their standing in the recruiting landscape. Offord is the highest-rated recruit for Ohio State in the 2025 class, surpassing cornerback Devin Sanchez (ranked 11th overall) and corner Blake Woodby (ranked 28th).
Following a stellar 2024 recruiting cycle, where Ohio State secured the third-ranked class, the program has further bolstered its roster with notable transfers, including safety Caleb Downs, quarterbacks Will Howard and Julian Sayin, and running back Quinshon Judkins.
With Offord now on board, Ohio State’s coaching staff has kicked off the 2025 class with remarkable momentum, establishing themselves as early contenders for one of the top recruiting classes in the nation.
