The Florida Gators have left a positive impression on three-star defensive lineman Jarquez Carter and his mother, who recently visited the campus. Carter, who received an offer from the Gators after a Junior Day visit in January, has been actively considering various options, attracting new offers in the process. Despite being in close proximity to Gainesville, Carter made another visit to Florida, this time accompanied by his mother on her inaugural trip to the campus.
While the primary purpose of the visit was to familiarize Carter’s mother with the university, the defensive lineman also had the opportunity to engage with the coaching staff. He skipped the campus tour, as he had been there recently, and instead, assistant d-line coach Coach Kali James guided his mother around.
The duo met with academic representatives and had discussions with head coach Billy Napier and members of the defensive staff. Additionally, Carter revealed that the coaching staff had plans to visit his school, but they decided to connect at the Gators’ facilities.
Ultimately, although the decision about Carter’s college destination rests solely on his shoulders, ensuring his close ones experience the campus and interact with the staff played a crucial role in the recruitment process.
