‘Huge blow’: O’s bring in Premier League duo ahead of Blues’ visit despite Wellens’ huge ban and fine after red card…

Orient’s boss handed three-match touchline

Leyton Orient manager Richie Wellens has received a three-game touchline ban and a fine from the Football Association. The disciplinary action stems from Wellens’ dismissal by referee Alex Chilowicz in the 81st minute of a 1-0 home win against Bolton last month.

The 43-year-old was penalized for impeding a Bolton player attempting a quick throw-in. Wellens, who admitted to improper conduct, remained pitchside instead of returning to the home dressing room.

An independent Regulatory Committee, after a hearing, imposed a £2,000 fine and the touchline ban. Despite this setback, Orient, currently 10th in League One, are on a six-game unbeaten streak, having conceded just one goal during this run. Their upcoming matches include hosting Carlisle and away games against Port Vale and Barnsley.
