Super Bowl 2024: Top Ad Reveals, Taylor Swift And AI In Las Vegas…

Super Bowl 58 is anticipated to draw over 100 million viewers when the Kansas City Chiefs clash with the San Francisco 49ers at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on February 11. The prospect of Taylor Swift supporting her boyfriend, Chiefs’ tight end Travis Kelce, adds an extra layer of excitement, potentially surpassing the record-breaking 115 million viewership of Super Bowl 57, as reported by Nielsen.

Given the substantial audience, advertisers are poised to capitalize, considering that one-third of American households are expected to tune in.

During last year’s game, approximately 70 ads spanning 40 minutes captivated viewers, each 30-second spot costing a staggering $7 million. The themes were futuristic and AI-driven, ranging from the pursuit of singularity with Adam Driver clones to Google’s Magic Eraser humorously eliminating dogs.

This year, with more than half of the ads already unveiled, a shift is noted as Volkswagen’s teaser reminisces about its iconic history rather than highlighting AI chat features showcased at CES. While snacks dominate the ad lineup, notable exclusions from Google, Amazon, and various AI unicorns keep viewers in suspense.

Scheduled to air on CBS, Paramount+, and Nickelodeon at 3:30 p.m. PT and 6:30 p.m. ET, the Super Bowl promises diverse entertainment. Reba McEntire will perform the National Anthem, Post Malone will render “America the Beautiful,” and Usher will headline the Apple Music Halftime Show.

Additionally, a kid-friendly broadcast will be offered by Nickelodeon, and the much-anticipated Puppy Bowl is set to air on Animal Planet, Discovery Channel, TBS, and HBO Max at 11 a.m. PT and 2 p.m. ET. The convergence of sports, entertainment, and high-profile performances is expected to create another unforgettable Super Bowl experience.
