White is one of five Auburn signees in the All-American Bowl.
SAN ANTONIO, Texas Playing 6A football in Arkansas, the first couple of days have been an opportunity for Auburn quarterback signee Walker White to start playing with and against the best of the best in the country.
It’s been a chance for White to start getting in reps against competition like he’ll face at Auburn.
“It’s really important just to get used to it,” White told Auburn Undercover. “At first, I was kind of caught off guard with how much more pressure I actually feel up front; even if they’re just rushing four, it’s still a different feeling because they’re much bigger, faster, stronger, and more athletic guys coming after you. It’s definitely healthy for me to get used to it. I feel like my speed in the game has already increased. Coach Kent Austin has talked a lot about that with me, just speeding up my feet and being more urgent because the speed of the game speeds up.”
