Promotion-chasing Ipswich are closing in on Jeremy Sarmiento’s loan signing…

Ipswich Town, currently in contention for promotion, is on the verge of securing a loan deal for Brighton winger Jeremy Sarmiento.

The Ecuador international, who was recalled from a loan spell at West Brom after making seven starts and 14 substitute appearances, is set to embark on another loan stint, with Ipswich being the likely destination.

Ipswich, led by Kieran McKenna, had a strong start to the season and currently holds the second position in the championship. However, a recent downturn in form, marked by five winless games and only one goal in the last four matches, has prompted the team to seek reinforcements in the attacking department.

Sarmiento, with 14 Premier League appearances for Brighton, 12 of which were as a substitute, is seen as a potential solution to bolster Ipswich’s offensive capabilities.
