Houston Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans confirms a huge boost as four key players are set to return ahead of the Titans’ Week 17 rematch…

The Tennessee Titans are anticipating the return of quarterback Will Levis for their upcoming rematch against the Houston Texans. Levis had missed the Week 16 game due to an ankle injury sustained in Week 15 against the Texans. Head coach Mike Vrabel confirmed that Levis is set to resume his role as the starting quarterback, having been a full participant in all three practice sessions during the week. Levis showcased smooth and unrestricted movement throughout the practices, indicating no noticeable limitations.

The Friday injury update provided positive news, with no Titans players ruled out for Sunday’s game. Every player available on the roster participated in the final practice session of Week 17. While some players, including cornerback Tre Avery, defensive lineman Marlon Davidson, and tight end Josh Whyle, are listed as questionable, there were no outright exclusions except for Caleb Farley. However, Farley, on the physically unable to perform list throughout the year, is not eligible to play, and Vrabel has already confirmed his absence for the season.

Despite missing several starters on injured reserve, the Titans are nearing a full complement of active players, a rare occurrence in the later stages of the season. The team’s improved health status aligns with a healthier Houston Texans squad for the rematch. In their previous encounter in Week 15, the Texans fielded a team with backups at various positions, including quarterback, wide receiver, and edge rusher.

For the upcoming game, the Texans are expected to have key players back in action, such as quarterback C.J. Stroud, wide receiver Nico Collins, offensive tackle George Fant, and linebacker Blake Cashman. The return of rookie edge rusher Will Anderson is also a possibility. However, concerns about the health of their interior defensive line, particularly with Maliek Collins and Sheldon Rankings listed as questionable, could pose challenges against the Titans’ offensive line.
