The quarterback, equipped with three years of eligibility, is poised to make an immediate impact under the guidance of new head coach Manny Diaz.
Replacing Riley Leonard, who recently transferred to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Murphy is anticipated to seize ample opportunities to demonstrate his skills and secure a starting position. This opportunity might have been scarce in Texas, given the presence of quarterbacks Quinn Ewers and Arch Manning.
