Southampton boss makes his stance clear as the Club makes a ‘critical move’ to sign the €30 million attacker in January…

Southampton is reportedly making significant strides in securing the services of Juventus winger Matias Soulé in the upcoming January transfer window. Valued at around €30 million, the 20-year-old Argentine, currently on loan at Frosinone, has attracted interest from various English clubs, with Southampton emerging as the frontrunners.

Frosinone’s sporting director, Guido Angelozzi, acknowledged the attention Soulé is receiving from English clubs, singling out Southampton as the primary contender. While the Championship status of the Saints might present challenges in convincing all parties for a January deal, the report suggests that the scenario could be different if a Premier League club enters the fray.

Juventus, seeking to bolster their finances, is open to cashing in on young talents like Soulé, who displayed promising form with six goals and one assist in 14 league matches this season. The Old Lady had previously valued the Argentina U21 international at €20-25 million. However, recent developments indicate that Southampton is prepared to initiate the deal at a fee exceeding €30 million in the upcoming transfer window.

Soulé is reportedly expressing interest in a move to England, and Juventus is closely monitoring the situation as it unfolds in the coming weeks. If Southampton can successfully navigate negotiations, there is a possibility of finalizing the deal during the winter transfer market.
