Hull City chief Liam Rosenior responds to recent speculations as he made his feelings clear about the 37-year-old striker amid transfer plans…

Hull City’s manager, Liam Rosenior, has publicly addressed the speculation surrounding the potential transfer of experienced striker Billy Sharp during the summer transfer window. The English Football League clubs, including Hull City, were reportedly interested in acquiring Sharp after his departure from Sheffield United. However, Rosenior quickly dismissed any talks of Sharp moving to Hull, stating that while he acknowledges Sharp as a talented player, it is not a move they are currently pursuing.

Sharp, a player with an impressive track record, having secured promotion to the Premier League twice with Sheffield United, eventually opted to join LA Galaxy for the next phase of his career. Despite contributing six goals in 12 appearances for the MLS club, LA Galaxy chose not to extend his contract for another season.

Now a free agent after leaving LA Galaxy at the end of the MLS regular season in October, Sharp, just one goal shy of reaching 250 in English leagues, expressed a desire to train with his former United teammates upon his return to England. However, this arrangement did not materialize.
