“Not Sorry”: Texans 35-year-old star JJ Watt slams at the Titans after the Texans’ remarkable comeback victory…

In the Sunday matchup between the Tennessee Titans and the Houston Texans, the stakes were high, especially according to former Texans star JJ Watt. The Texans emerged victorious with a 19-16 win in overtime at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, courtesy of a successful 54-yard field goal by Texans kicker Ka’imi Fairbairn.

However, a significant subplot of the game centered around the Titans’ choice of uniforms. Tennessee opted for their throwback Oilers uniforms against Houston, which didn’t sit well with Texans fans. The red, white, and powder blue colors were once the iconic hues of the Titans franchise before its relocation from Houston to Tennessee in 1997. Some fans considered the Titans’ loss poetic justice for what they perceived as disrespect.

JJ Watt seemed to imbue the Titans’ defeat with greater significance beyond the football field. Watt expressed on social media that Tennessee is obligated to return the uniforms to Houston. He stated, “We get the uniforms back. That’s how this works, I don’t make the rules. Sorry, not sorry. Too bad, so sad.”

Despite Watt’s declaration, it’s unlikely that the Titans will be returning the uniforms anytime soon. Nevertheless, the win provided Houston fans with a sense of sweet revenge, at least for one game. Earlier in the year, the University of Houston football team faced consequences for using an alternate uniform resembling the throwback Oilers jerseys, intended as a tribute to Houston’s football history, with the NFL taking action against it.
