The Chicago Bulls post their winning streak in the season after they nipped the New Orleans Pelicans.
For the first time this season, the Chicago Bulls won back-to-back games as they turned back the New Orleans Pelicans, 124-118, on Saturday night.

Sustaining the momentum of their gutsy 120-113 overtime win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday night, the Bulls drew a season-high 31 points from Coby White, who shot 8-for-13 from three-point range.
Total team effort
The Bulls also got a huge lift from DeMar DeRozan, who returned from a one-game absence due to a left ankle sprain and finished with 24 points and 10 assists.
Zach LaVine missed his second-straight game while Alex Caruso left before halftime due to a left toe injury.

Torrey Craig, Ayo Dosunmu, and Patrick Williams helped fill up the void by combining for 44 points.

The Bulls improved to 6-6 at home and are now 7-14 in the season.

Zion Williamson led the Pelicans with 27 points. He scored eight points in the final three minutes of the second quarter that allowed New Orleans to take a 61-53 lead at halftime.

White delivers crucial baskets
As the Pelicans threatened to break the game wide open, the Bulls went to work in the third quarter, where they outscored the opponent, 36-21, to wrest the lead, 89-82, going into the final period.

The Pelicans tied the contest at 98-all in the final 7:25, but White sank back-to-back triples that gave the Bulls a six-point lead.

White helped the Bulls seal the win by assisting Williams for an alley-oop dunk, giving Chicago a 122-116 lead with only 20.1 seconds left.

Brandon Ingram added 23 points, while Herbert Jones had 17 for New Orleans, which dropped to 11-10 in the season.
