Will Anderson is happy the Cardinals traded the third overall pick to the Texans.
Texans defensive end Will Anderson arrived in Houston via the third overall pick in the 2023 draft. The Texans acquired that pick in a trade with the Cardinals.
Which means that the Cardinals could have had Anderson, but that they opted to trade back instead.
After Houston beat Arizona on Sunday, in a game featuring a solid performance by Anderson, he was asked whether he was thinking about the Cardinals not taking him.
“Oh no, I wasn’t really worried about that,” Anderson told PFT by phone. “I’m happy here. I’m so glad to be here. This is the perfect scenario and I’d much rather be here than there.”
Something special is happening where he is, not long after the Texans had been the most dysfunctional team in the NFL. Now, they’re a playoff contender with a potential MVP in C.J. Stroud and a potential coach of the year in DeMeco Ryans.
