talkSPORT broadcaster slams David Moyes after what he did to Lucas Paqueta in West Ham United win v Nottingham Forest.
Tom Rennie slammed David Moyes’ West Ham United decision to deploy Lucas Paqueta on the left wing in the second half of their 3-2 win over Nottingham Forest on Sunday (12 November).
Tomas Soucek grabbed a late winner as the Hammers came from behind to secure an entertaining Premier League win against Steve Cooper’s men at the London Stadium – their first league win since 30 September.
Jarrod Bowen and Lucas Paqueta were also on the scoresheet as West Ham were made to work for the three points from a resilient Forest side as their attacking threat forced Moyes into a tactical change putting Paqueta out wide.
Paqueta just shunted out onto the left wing is a waste of resources.

And talkSPORT broadcaster Rennie, taking to his personal Twitter account (12 November) wasn’t particularly pleased by Moyes’ decision.
He tweeted: “Paqueta just shunted out onto the left wing is a waste of resources.”
Strange
Some of the football on display was incredibly frustrating for several West Ham United fans during the game because the players at Moyes’ disposal should not have struggled to create chances as they did at times against Forest.
It certainly feels as though Moyes is shackling a number of players and playing with the handbrake on at times, asking them to play a negative brand of football that doesn’t come naturally to them.
And his decision put Paqueta out wide on the right was particularly strange given his qualities when playing centrally and in close proximity with Mohammed Kudus.
It certainly highlighted the lack of quality Moyes has at his disposal currently when it comes to out-and-out wingers and seeing as he doesn’t trust the likes of Maxwel Cornet, Said Benrahma and Pablo Fornals, that left-wing position will become a serious burden for the campaign if not addressed in the winter window.
Paqueta can certainly fill the responsibilities needed on that flank but Rennie is right, it is a “waste” to put him there as he isn’t given the tactical freedom room needed to do what he does best in the central areas.
Moyes cannot do that again, he’s got to improve tactically if West Ham United are to reach new heights this season.
