Buffalo Bills Blasted by Cincinnati Bengals WRs Tyler Boy, Ja’Marr Chase After ‘Snow’ Excuses…
28-year-old WR issues a criticizing comment ahead of playoff rematch that will annoy fans…
The Buffalo Bills and Ciyncinnati Bengals might be embracing a rivalry.
So when Bengals receiver Tyler Boyd heard some excuses coming from Buffalo’s side despite Cincinnati’s big win, he made to keep receipts, and is now making things known prior to Sunday.
“Going back to the playoff game, when we won in the snow, a couple of their players were saying if it wasn’t snowing they would’ve beat us,” Boyd said, per Pro Football Talk. “We’re here now, so we’re going to see what the outcome is,”
Bengals star receiver Ja’Marr Chase chimed in.
“Yeah, I remember that,” Chase said, per Jeremy Rauch of Fox19. “It’s something crazy to say, but yeah I do … That’s their opinion. We still won at the end of the day.”
The Bengals dominated in a game that the Bills never had any control of. Buffalo three points on its first drive of the second half to make it a 17-10 game, but would then proceed to go scoreless for the remainder of the game. The Bills showed little fight as the Bengals did just enough on offense to seal the win without much resistance.
Boyd isn’t naming anyone specific for the snow comments, but it certainly doesn’t take much to realize that whoever the unamed player is has little room for excuses. The Bills got handled with relative ease against the Bengals, and couldn’t even make it interesting late. Snow was hardly the reason why.
BuffaloRumblings.com makes the observation that the player in question could be former Bills receiver and current Indianapolis Colt Isaiah McKenzie, who made a podcast appearance and said this:
“If we were in a dome, it would have been a totally different game,” McKenzie said on the Go Long podcast.
There was no literal mention of snow and it came from a guy no longer on the team, so the Bills and Bengals shouldn’t have any beef on Sunday. But of course that’s hardly fixing to be the case as the two sides get set for kickoff at 8:20 p.m. ET.
