The leadership at Sheffield Wednesday has come under fire for what is described as “gross mismanagement” following yet another defeat.
In their recent Championship match, Sheffield Wednesday suffered a 3-0 loss to Plymouth Argyle, extending their winless streak to 13 league games this season. The Owls have found themselves near the bottom of the championship table throughout the campaign and have managed to score only five goals so far. New manager Danny Rohl has not yet witnessed his team score a goal, having lost his first two games in charge.
Off the field, it has been a tumultuous season for Sheffield Wednesday, with the abrupt departure of Darren Moore during the summer. Owner Dejphon Chansiri took a considerable amount of time to appoint Xisco Munoz, who ultimately proved unsuccessful as the manager. Recent positive changes within the club, including the appointment of Rohl and the addition of several staff members to the backroom team, provide some hope. However, recent results indicate that challenges persist.
Reporter Dom Howson expressed his frustration after the latest defeat, saying:
“It took #SWFC two years to get promoted out of League One. All that hard work has been thrown down the toilet through gross mismanagement.”

Sheffield Wednesday now faces an uphill battle, with the possibility of relegation to League One becoming increasingly likely. The club’s fans are becoming disillusioned with the team’s performances. Rebuilding from League One in the next season seems likely, and staying in the Championship would be a remarkable achievement given the current circumstances.
